New Possibilities for
Credit Unions at RFG Annual CEO Forum
Forum Discusses New Challenges, Strategies for Success
Lombard, Ill., May 2010 –
Raddon Financial Group (RFG), a provider of research-based solutions to
credit unions and a strategic business unit of Open Solutions Inc.®, is
hosting its annual CEO Forum for chief executives and directors of
credit unions with assets in excess of $500 million. The conference,
slated for Aug. 11-13 at The Broadmoor resort in Colorado Springs,
Colo., will include a CEO panel discussion among leading credit union
CEOs, moderated by RFG’s general manager and COO, Bob Dye. The forum
will also feature timely presentations from industry-leading speakers,
including Louis Hernandez, Jr., chairman of the board and CEO at Open
Solutions Inc.; Dennis Dollar, credit union veteran, the former NCUA
chair and principal of Dollar Associates; Bill Handel, vice president of
research at Raddon Financial Group; and Dennis McCuistion, CSP,
associate executive director of the Institute for Excellence in
Corporate Governance at the University of Texas at Dallas.
The CEO Forum will include
a keynote presentation on the role of emerging technologies by Wences
Casares, founder, co-chief executive officer and director of Bling
Nation. Casares is a global entrepreneur specializing in technology and
financial markets who launched Argentina's first Internet Service
Provider, founded Latin America's first comprehensive Internet financial
services portal and formed Brazil’s largest microfinance institution,
Banco Lemon, which serves the country’s underbanked population. Casares’
presentation at the CEO Forum is intended to help credit union
executives examine technology, namely, the growing field of mobile
payments.
“We have listened to the concerns of credit union executives and
designed the CEO Forum to address these concerns with effective,
real-world strategies,” said Dye. “Along with the new challenges credit
unions face come unprecedented opportunities. Our panel, sessions and
speakers are geared toward helping credit unions take advantage of
recent changes in the financial industry in order to make their
organizations the preferred financial services providers of consumers
and businesses in the markets they serve.”
RFG will also present their annual Crystal Performance Awards to the 10
credit unions with the highest financial performance in 2009, based on
RFG’s balanced scorecard measurement of growth, income, efficiency and
margin management.
